Twice a year, the studio holds a medal day. Each participant dances with his/her teacher whilst being assessed by a prominent member of one of the professional dance associations. When the assessment is passed, each dancer receives a trophy and a written evaluation of performance.

Participation in medal days develops better technique and improves skill. It also provides the opportunity for individual expression within the dances themselves. Medal trophys begin with Grade 1 and progress through bronze, silver, gold and premier Stars.

Why do a medal ?

We would encourage you to consider doing a medal. It's a great feeling of achievement when its done and you really notice your improvement from one medal to the next. The day is a fun event too. Everyone is very supportive and there is lots of encouragement from your peers who cheer you on !

Should I take a private lesson ?

If you like you can have a private lesson as a practice run for the exam. A half hour lesson is only $30.00. A few of you can also share a private lesson to reduce the cost. It is a great confidence booster. If you are doing your Silver medal or higher, private lessons are required due to the higher dancing standard involved
